 Rohit Sharma along with de Kock gave a huge start to the team as they scored 96 runs in 10.5 overs. Both the batsman played very aggressively but after the wicket of Rohit on 47 runs of 31 balls with 6 fours and a six. After the wicket of Rohit Mumbai Indians lost 2 more wickets at one end and slowed down the scoring rate where at the other end de Kock played some good shots along the ground but was unfortunately got out after scoring 81 runs of 52 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes by Jofra Archar. At the end of inning Hardik Pandya scored 28 runs (1 four, 3 sixes) of 11 balls which helped MI to set a total of 187-5 in 20 overs.

Rajasthan bowled brilliantly as they didn’t allow the batsman to utilize the start as Jofra picked 3 wickets in his 4 overs conceding 39 runs, Unadkat and Dhawal Kulkarni picked 1 wicket each.

 The start for Rajasthan Royals was good as Rahane and Jos Butler scored 59 runs in the powerplay without losing any wicket. But after the powerplay RR lost the wicket of Rahane who scored 37 runs (6 fours, 1 six) of 21 balls. Jos Buttler batted tremendously with Sanju Samson and completed another half century in the season and built partnership of 87 runs but was departed by Rahul Chahar after scoring 89 runs of 43 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes. Sanju Samson was sent back to pavilion on 31 runs (2 fours ,a six) by Bumrah M picked 4 more back to back wickets through which MI came back in the match but Shreyas Gopal scored crucial 13 runs (2  fours) of 7 balls and helped the team won the match by 4 wickets as they scored 188-6 in 19.3 balls. Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly and picked 2 wickets conceding 23 runs in his 4 overs and Krunal Pandya picked 3 wickets and Rahul Chahar got a wicket.
