The selectors supprised everyone with the decision where Rishab Pant was left out and Vijay Shankar and Dinesh Kartik were picked in the squad for World Cup 2019 along with Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma (vc), Sikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, MS Dhoni (wk), Kedar Jadav, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Buvhneswar Kumar, M Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Y Chahal. The team looks quite balanced but also have some concerns regarding no.4 position as well the forms of the openers which can create a great impact in the match. Kedar Jadhav’s fitness can be the another concern along with the performance of Kuldeep and Chahal. As a whole the team looks quite strong with the presence of Pandya, Bumrah, Dhoni and the king Kohli and now it’s upon the rest of the player to perform well to win the tournament for the 3rd time in 2019.
Sikhar Dhawan ruled out from World Cup 2019
And a new update from the Indian Camp where the team may suffer later on in the tournament as the key player Sikhar Dhawan was officially ruled out from the tournament and Rishabh Pant reached England to replace Sikhar Dhawan. And KL Rahul will be opening the inning for the team once again the no.4 position may be the main concern for the team. And looking at the Sikhar’s performance in the ICC Event where he is the most consistent and destructive for the team and with his elimination the team may struggle to get a good start.
Rishabh Pant was added to the squad and we may see him at no.4 in the upcoming matches. Also hope that team may finish the tournament lifting the trophy in Virat Kohli’s hand in Lords balcony.
