 The 35th Match of VIVO IPL Season 12, KKR vs RCB was played on Fri 19th April 2019 in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. KKR won the toss and elected to bowl first. In the match AB de Villiers was rested by RCB and Dale Styen played his first match of the season.

 RCB got a decent start as they were able to score 42 runs even after losing the wicket of Parthiv Patel in the 4th over of the innings. RCB lost one more wicket of Akshdeep Nath who scored 13 runs (1 six) 15 balls. Than a partnership between Virat Kohli and Moen Ali turned the momentum towards RCB where Moen Ali played a brilliant knock and completed his third fifty in the season and in between Virat Kohli completed his 37th half century in Vivo IPL season 12 and scored 90 runs in 6.1 overs and Moen Ali departed after scoring 66 runs (5 fours,6 sixes) of 28 balls by Kuldeep Yadav. After Moen Ali’s wicket Kohli took the charge and scored 64 runs in 3 overs along with Stoinis which helped the team to score 213-4 overs in 20 overs with his 5th century of Vivo IPL season 12 and scored 100 runs (9 fours, 4 sixes) of 58 balls.

 The start for KKR was not so good as they lost their first wicket Chris Lynn in the first over of the Inning and lost 2 more wickets of Narine and Subhman Gill in the powerplay and could score 37-3 in 6 overs. Nitish Rana and Uthappa tried built a partnership but KKR lost one more wicket  of Robin Uthappa in the 12th over who scored 9 runs of 20 balls. Nitish Rana on 33 of 23 balls and Andre Russell were on the crease and KKR needed 134 runs in 8 overs to win. They scored runs as fast as possible and Nitish Rana scored his fifty. Both of them batted brilliantly to chase the target and Russell scored the second fastest fifty in the season in just 21 balls but the team KKR falls short of 10 runs even after 2 unbelievable knock of Nitish Rana who scored unbeaten 85 runs(9 fours, 5 sixes) of 46 balls and Andre Russell who scored 65 runs (2 fours, 9 sixes) of 25 balls.

Dale Styen picked 2 wickets conceding 40 runs in his 4 overs, Navdeep Saini and Stoinis got one wicket each.
