Worst World Cup management of the Season in Cricket History

Worst World Cup Season in Cricket History

World Cup 2019 is the 12 Edition of World Cup which is hosted by England and Wales and the host team are one of the favorite teams who can win the title for very first time for the country. As England have never won the title in 3 finals played in 1979, 1987 and 1992 where as Australian are the most successful team to win the title for 5 times (1987 and 3 in a row from 1999 to 2007 and are also the defending champions in 2015). Team India have won the title for two times (1983 and 2011) and West Indies had won the first 2 edition (1975 and 1979). And Srilanka have 1 world cup in their cabinet as they won their first title in 1996 and the another team to have won the title in 1992 is Pakistan.
The 12th edition of World Cup is turning to be the worst world cup of all times as most of the matches played between the two teams end up one sided which may affect the popularity of the game as the most of the teams lack the number of match winners in the team. Some the champions of previous edition looked like an underdogs.
The another factor that  has affected the matches is the weather of the host country which ruined 4 matches in 19 matches of the tournament where in 3 matches the team shares the points and Sri Lanka have won a match by DLS method. It’s seems to be poor selection of venue for the grand tournament.
The lighting bells are the most annoying factors for the bowlers in the tournament where the bells don’t dislodge even after hit by the ball bowled by a pacers like Bumrah and Starc. There are 5 incidents in the tournament where the bells refused to dislodge due to heaviness of the modern lighting bells which can a biggest drawback for the bowlers and results of the game may be affected as the tournament goes up.
There are some great challenges for ICC to overcome and make the event successful.
