Australian opener started the innings and built a partnership of huge 193 runs for the first wickets, where Aron Finch unfortunately got out at his score of 93 runs of 99 balls with 10 fours and 3 huge sixes but Usman Khawaja continues with Glenn Maxwell and scored his maiden ODI hundred and departed scoring 104 of 113 balls with 11 fours.Maxwell scored quick 47 runs of 33 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes, Shaun Marsh failed to take the moment as he scored only 7 runs of 12 balls and Handscomb departed on a 🦆. Stoinis and Alex Carey’s 50 runs partnership helps Australia utilize their start where stoiSto scored 31 runs of 26 balls with 4 fours and Alex Carey scored 21 runs of 17 balls with 3 fours and innings ends on 313-5 runs in 50 overs.

Indian openers once again failed to give start to the team where Dhawan scored only 1 of 10 balls, Rohit scored 14 runs of 14 balls with 2  fours and a six. Rayudu scored 2 of 8 balls. Dhoni came to bat along with Kohli and revive the team with a partnership of 59 runs but after scoring 26  of 42 balls with 3 fours and 1 six got on being aggressive. Virat Kohli continues to score as per asking rate and built a patnerdhip of 88 runs along with Kedar Jadav, but Kedar departed scoring 26 of 39 balls with 3 fours. Virat Kohli completed his 41th century in ODIs and also built another partnership with Vijay Shankar 45 runs and Virat departed scoring 123 runs of 95 balls with 16 fours and a six. Vijay Shankar played some good shots but was caught at the boundary line at 32 runs of 30 balls with 4 fours. Ravindra Jadeja tried take the team close to the target but was caught on 24 runs of 31 balls with 1 six, Shami 8 runs of 4 balls , kuldeep 10 runs of 16 balls. And India were wrapped up on 281-10 runs in 48.2 overs.
Adam Zampa, Pet Cummins and J Richardson  picked 3 wickets each and Lyon got 1 wicket.
